Evergreen Beauty College was founded by Thi Trieu, who moved here from Vietnam with a belief that beauty could be a real path to a real career. She built this school from the ground up, and today her children carry that work forward as second-generation owners. Being named a 2026 Family Business Award Honoree by the Puget Sound Business Journal is not just recognition of what EBC has become. It is recognition of what a family can build when they believe in something deeply enough to give their lives to it.
When a family business earns recognition like this, it is easy to point to the family. But EBC has never really been just the Trieu family. From day one, this school has been shaped by the people who walked through the doors. People who came to learn, to teach, and to build something together. This award reflects the EBC community more than anything else.
A Legacy Built One Student at a Time
Each year, the Puget Sound Business Journal honors family-owned businesses across the Pacific Northwest that have done something harder than just growing: they have stayed true to who they are while doing it. These are businesses that show up every day, build something together, and remain rooted in the communities they call home. For them, success has never just been about size. It has always been about substance.
For a school that has always believed beauty education should change lives and not just issue licenses, being recognized in that category means everything.
That legacy does not live in an award or a plaque on the wall. It lives in the student who walked in unsure of herself and walked out with a license, a career, and a confidence she did not have before. It lives in the instructor who stayed after class to help someone nail a technique they had been struggling with all week. It lives in the graduate who now owns her own salon and still sends her new hires back to EBC for training. One student, one class, one graduation at a time; this is how this school has grown, and that is what this recognition is really about.
Be Part of What This Family Built
Thi Trieu started EBC because she believed a beauty license could open doors to a bright future. That belief has not changed. It lives in every campus, every classroom, and every student who walks across the stage at graduation.
If you are thinking about beauty school and wondering whether EBC is the right place for you, we invite you to come see it. Not just the facilities. The people.
