Esthetics Student Success Story: Korianne Martin

About Korianne
Korianne is someone who gives back to the community. Prior to the beauty industry, Korianne was working a typical 9-5 as a patient access representative in healthcare. She went in with the best intentions, genuinely wanting to make a difference in people’s lives. Unfortunately, the healthcare industry took a mental toll on her. Staying in the field was difficult with so many responsibilities waiting for her outside of work. “The mental toll that the job entails became too straining to have a work-life balance, and left me unable to be fully present for my kids, family, and self,” she says. The desire to help others and make a difference never left her mind, but Korianne knew she needed to find an industry that gave her the freedom and flexibility she needed.
Korianne’s love for the beauty industry started in 2019. With her sister by her side, the duo launched K & K Creations, a skincare business where they crafted and sold their own products. For six years, the siblings worked together to keep the business alive, all the way up until December 2025. After two kids, Korianne knew she no longer had the bandwidth to create products, operate a business, and work full time all at once. Although K & K Creations had come to a close, her love for helping people feel beautiful in their own skin never faded.
After a lot of thought, Korianne made a decision: choose herself. She looked for something that would let her do the work she had always wanted to do, in a way that actually worked for her life. That is when she found Evergreen Beauty College. She signed up in February 2026 and walked through the doors for the first time on July 6, 2026. “From the first day that I walked through the doors, I knew it was right where I was meant to be,” she says.
The Evergreen Experience
At EBC’s Bellingham campus, Korianne found what she had been looking for: a community willing to learn and grow together. “I love that we jumped right in and started practicing on each other,” she says. The hands-on training has been everything, but what has mattered most is the people. “The most valuable aspect of school for me has been having a class full of girls willing to learn, and willing to help each other get better along the way.” With Korianne’s classmates by her side, the possibilities were endless. This kind of energy made EBC feel like more than just a school. It made it feel like a family.

Facials by Korianne
Inside the classroom, Korianne found that her obsession was waxing. “There’s just something about the before and after that is so satisfying,” she says. “I’m physically making a difference.” Watching something transform right in front of you, in a single appointment, is the kind of result that never gets old. A close second is European facials, where the goal is not just beautiful skin but a moment of real rest for the person in the chair. “Being able to help people relax and feel beautiful in their skin is so fulfilling,” she says.
Outside the classroom, Korianne has shown up in a big way. She joined the Back to School Event, EBC’s annual community event where students provide free beauty services to K-12 kids and their families. Korianne gave free facials and brought her full energy to every single appointment. “What a fun event, giving back to the community and putting smiles on the kiddos and their parents’ faces!” she says. “One of the dads even fell asleep and said it was the best thing, the best facial, he had ever experienced.”
As a Student Ambassador, Korianne has also been one of the faces of EBC, helping bring more spirit to the campus and welcoming prospective students with tours of the school. She has earned the 100% Attendance Award, the Culture Award, the Social Media Award, and the Successful Starter Award, among others.
The Next Step

Korianne completing a High Frequency Service
After graduation, Korianne is planning to build something of her own. Her dream is to find a studio of her own and build Copper Glow Esthetics into the experience she has always envisioned. “My goal is simple: to create a space where you can slow down, feel cared for, and leave feeling confident in your own skin,” she says. Korianne knows that skincare is more than just the products or a routine. It is the perfect time to settle down and reconnect with yourself.
After years in the healthcare industry, building a skincare brand with her sister, and being a mom, Korianne is ready for this next step. She is ready to help people in a way that gives her fulfillment, pouring her energy into her new business and giving her clients the treatment they deserve.
Korianne Martin is expected to graduate from EBC’s Bellingham campus in January 2027. Follow her journey on Instagram at @copper.glow.esthetics. We cannot wait to see the space she builds.
